Fish in France
At E'tang de Campas
Set in 10 acres of lush countryside. This French carp fishing lake borders the Alps Mancelle, a protective area of acres and acres of forests. E’tang De Campas is a tranquil relaxing place to visit let alone visit for a fishing holiday.
” The lake is perfect, very vibrant, fishes well all day, no need to fish nights. The lake is the perfect size. Mr B Francis"
Our French Carp Fishing lake is spring fed via 2 natural springs with water levels and quality excellent throughout the year, this keeps our carp in prime condition and great sport. This French fishing lake is lined with several large willow trees along the northern side with silver birch and the odd oak tree between. The southern side is lush green grass with a small river running adjacent to the lake.
” Well what more could an angler ask for? The Best we have had on any trip to France. Everything was tip top, Joel & Craig"
E'tang de Campas was originally created around 25 years ago and remained the private lake of a local French family up until 2006 when we purchased the lake to turn into a carp fishery. The lake was stocked with over 150 carp ranging from 18lb to 50lb. We have had 2 further deliveries of stock since then of selected larger carp with the most recent being this December 2012. We introduced a further 2 mirror and 2 grass carp all in the excess of 40lb with the largest weighing a massive 53lb.
” Just thought I would drop you a line to say how fantastic fishing at your lake was, the bailiff who met us there was extremely friendly and gave some great advice which resulted in us having probably our best fishing trip ever thanks Jason”
E'tang de Campas is a runs water and our guests regularly enjoy average weekly catches in the excess of 40 fish and we are proud of the fact that we have never had any guests go home without catching something.
We have 2 purpose made pegs on the Northern boundary to fish from, these have been dug down close to the water line to allow safe landing and returning of carp, the entire south bank of the lake can be fished from at any point and allows guests to fish next to each other if they wish. The lake bed is mostly clay with a small amount of silt over the top and is virtually snag free.
” Thanks for a brilliant week and your hospitality, hope to see you next year. Mark, Nathan, Steve & Stephen”
This beautiful and tranquil French carp fishing lake is 90% snag free, however we recommend a minimum 12lb breaking strain line. The fishery is best suited to 4 anglers per week using a maximum of 3 rods per person, we can accommodate upto 6 for a slight additional cost.
We have provided a small boat for use by our guests, we ask you to wear the supplied life jacket at all times. The boat must be returned to the designated area on your last day of fishing.
We look forward to welcoming you to E'tang de Campas, the premier carp fishing venue in France
